He is survived by: his wife Deanna Clark Ransom; his children, Ertle Bruce Ransom of Wilmington, NC, Rosa Ransom Hunt (Henry Hunt) of Pembroke, NC and Geanice Deese (Bruce Regan) of Stafford Virginia; his niece Faye Jacobs of Lumberton, NC; his sister Lois Brayboy; his granddaughters, Candice Brooks (Brad Brooks), Leondra Oxendine (Colin Oxendine) and Mikayla Deese Ingham (Brian Ingham); and his great grandchildren, Harmony Brooks, Bella Brooks, Halona Ingham, Enola Ingham and Liam Cole Oxendine.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Revels Funeral Home (407 Breece St, Pembroke, NC 28372). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Deep Branch Baptist Church (4082 Deep Branch Rd, Lumberton, NC 28360). A burial was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at the St. Anna Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery (1662 St Anna Rd, Pembroke, NC 28372).
