She was predeceased by: her parents, Angus Strickland and Gertude Strickland; her son Bobby Joe Smiling; her husbands, William Ray Oxendine and Willie Maynor; and her siblings, Diane Strickland, Annie Ruth Strickland, Irene Smiling, Betty Strickland, Loula Mae Smiling, Sam Strickland, Angus Strickland (Buck) and L. C. Strickland.
She is survived by: her daughter Stephanie Hunt; her stepson Doug Maynard Jr. of Rowland; her grandchildren, Marcus Locklear, Saquoya Hunt, Niyalie Hunt, Avery Locklear, Nova Locklear and Logan Locklear; and her close friend Mary J. Smith.
