She is survived by: her granddaughter Jadyn Brianne Chavis; her husband Ponce DeLeon Chavis Jr.; her son Ponce DeLeon Chavis III; her daughter-in-law Bridget Chavis; her brother Rodney Oxendine; her sister-in-law Janet Oxendine; and her close friend Rhonda McDowell.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Berea Baptist Church (120 North Odum Street, Pembroke, NC 28372). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
