Leon leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Leon’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. He was predeceased by: his parents, Griffin Jones and Sophronie Jones; his stepmother Carlee Jones; and his wife Mary Bell Jones. He is survived by: his son Leon Jones, Jr. (Conchata Beth Jones) of Maxton. He is also survived by six grandchildren; a host of brothers and sisters; many special nieces and nephews; and a multitude of cousins and friends.

A graveside service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Bullard Family Cemetery.
