It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Jane Bryant (Pembroke, North Carolina), leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell W. Locklear and Elsie Carter Locklear; her husband Alfred Bryant Sr.; her son Kim Alan Bryant; and her siblings, Bill Buck Locklear, Tom Carter, Sam Carter, Roosevelt Locklear, Grady Locklear and Fatima Jacobs.
She is survived by: her brother Russell W. Locklear Jr.; her sons, Dr. Alfred Bryant Jr. (Tabitha), Royal Travis Bryant (Teresa) and Marcus Lawrence Bryant (Katina); her grandchildren, John Kimlan "Nikko" Bryant, Hannah Marie Strickland, Alaric Avery Travers Bryant, Aidan Cole Bryant, Cameron Travis Bryant, Brayden Wayne Bryant, Baileigh Mackenna Bryant and Jackson Colt Bryant; her great grandchild Haslyn Emmarie Strickland; her close friends, Janice Bryant, Brenda Scott, Mable Jones and Yvonne Locklear; and her caregivers, Wanda Locklear, Bonnie Crue and Kobe Hunt.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Mt. Airy Baptist Church (7209 North Carolina Hwy 72, Pembroke, NC 28372). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
