We announce the death of Shirley S. Clark (Pembroke, North Carolina), who passed away on September 2, 2026, at the age of 90. Shirley will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her mother Agnes Sampson Spaulding; her husband Arnold Clark; her brother Fennon Sampson; and her great grandchild Landon Clark. She is survived by: her children, Trena Locklear (Johnnie) of Lumberton, Shelia Cummings (Conella) of Rowland, Wayne Clark (Marilyn) of Rowland and Gayland Clark (Kasey) of Rowland; and her grandchildren, Eulalie, Jonathan, Brittany, Krysten, Kayla, Hailey and Clark. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Gospel Tabernacle Baptist Church (234 Midway Rd, Rowland, NC 28383). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
