He was predeceased by: his father Richard "Ricky" Chavis; and his brothers, Rico Chavis and Donald Preston Chavis. He is survived by: his wife Jessica Deese; his children, Richard Grant Locklear, Braeyson Locklear, Charsica Locklear, Attora Locklear, Donalaya Locklear and Jayla Strickland; his granddaughter Eliana Locklear; his mother Flora Locklear Chavis; his sister Frances Rose Chavis (Christopher) of Pembroke, NC; and his nephews, Preston Cross and Paxton Devon. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, friends.
