He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Holder Long and Grady Holt Long; and his wife Pansy Tucker Long. He is survived by: his son Kevin (Emily) of Pfafftown; his nieces, Marie Styers (Phil), Kathi Long, Tanya Long and Tammy Buro (George); and his caregiver Janet Combs.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Salem Funeral Home (2951 Reynolda Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27106). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
