He is survived by: his wife Robin Megela (Sholtis); his daughter Amanda Maultsby (Matt); his granddaughter Scarlett of Asheville, NC; his sons, Mitchell Megela of Wrightsville Beach, NC and Curtis Megela (Lauren Amstutz) of Wilmington, NC; and his sisters, Andrea Simmons (Jim) and Debbie Thomas (Gary). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
