He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Gurley and Marjorie Howell Pike. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Malcolm; his daughters, Donna Blackman (Robert) of Pikeville and Rana Calcote (Bobby) of Pikeville; and his siblings, James Howell of Wisconsin and Brenda Ballance (Raymond) of Fremont. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
