It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Derek Stanley of Pikeville, North Carolina, born in Wilson, North Carolina, who passed away on June 13, 2025, at the age of 23, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Verlon and Marjorie Jo Bogue Taylor. He is survived by: his mother Lori T. Stott; his stepfather Jim Stott of Pikeville; his sisters, Krissy (Jason Ennis), Ashley Howard, Tori Vitt, Heather and Mary Stott; his siblings' children, Benton and Charleigh; his extended family, Wesley, Christy, Ty, Caylynn and Wyatt; his aunt Tammy Lynn; and his girlfriend Mikayla Honeycutt.
