He is survived by: his daughters, Ann Marshall (Chuck) of Goldsboro and Terry Loveless of Pikeville; his grandchildren, Sarah Herring (Bradley) of Fremont and Rainy Merritt of Supply, NC.; and his great grandchildren, Tristen Herring, Lydia Boxley (Ian) of Supply, NC and Nolan Herring of Fremont.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either the American Diabetes Association or the Boys and Girls Club, 1401 Royall Avenue, Goldsboro NC 27530.
