He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Yates" Proctor and Evelyn Rose Proctor. He is survived by: his brother John Yates Proctor, Jr. of Rocky Mount; and his close friends, Buddy Rodgers and Tim Harper. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended relatives.
