It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxine Forehand Suggs (Pikeville, North Carolina), who passed away on December 12, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Forehand and Eva Forehand; her husband Rev. Leon Franklin Suggs; and her sisters, JoAnn Bass and Betty Corbett.
She is survived by: her children, Cam Sauls, Gwen Pate (Jerry) and Frank Suggs; her grandchildren, Jeremy Pate, Bryan Pate, Adam Sauls (Leanna), Erica Epps (Jake), Beth Jones (Nate) and Will Suggs (Kelly); and her great grandchildren, Addi Pate, Malichi Suggs, Zephaniah Suggs, Jackson Jones, Elowen Sauls (Winnie) and Crew Jones.
Flowers are welcome, or memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, 336 Nahunta Road, Pikeville, NC 27863.
