Larry Shelton Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Larry Shelton of Pilot Mountain, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 2, 2025 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Larry has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Thomas Shelton and Betty Jo Essick Shelton; and his brother Ricky Shelton. He is survived by: his son Alex Shelton (Jennica); his grandsons, Miller, Porter, Sawyer and Tucker; and his sister Vickie Ruszkowski (John). He is also survived by extended family, friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church (2552 Old US 52 S, Pilot Mountain, NC 27041). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, in honor and memory of Mr. Shelton.
