She was predeceased by: her parents, James Ruben "Rube" McCormick and Mae Winfrey McCormick; and her sister Jean McCormick Mauldin. She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bob" Timberlake; her sons, Richard "Rick" Burrus (Renee) of Raleigh and James "Jim" Burrus (Heather); her grandchildren, Phoebe and Matthew Burrus of Clemmons; her stepgrandsons, Christopher (Arielle Schrupp) of Lindale, TX, Brandon (Lincy Schrupp) of Lincoln, NE and Alex (Katie Schrupp) of Phoenix, AZ; and her stepgreat-grandson Ethan.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cox-Needham Funeral Home (822 W Main St, Pilot Mountain, NC 27041). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Historic Rockford Methodist Church. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at the Rockford Baptist Church Cemetery (4947 Rockford Rd, Dobson, NC 27017).
