She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Robert Bateman and Evelyn Hope Mills Bateman; her husband Charlie Frank Jester; and her siblings, Marvin Dale "Jake" Bateman, Roger Bateman, Helen Nelson and Alene Gordon.
She is survived by: her children, Glenda Shelton, Robert Jester (Lisa) and Mary Brown (James); her grandchildren, Kenneth Simmons (Jamie), Megan Jester, Sara McNew (Tim) and Kristi Bryant (Adam); and her siblings, Mary Alice Bennett and Robert Bateman. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Cox-Needham Funeral Home (822 W Main St, Pilot Mountain, NC 27041). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
