He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Thornberg and Eula Johnson Thornberg; and his wife Linda Rose Thornberg. He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Windish (Chris), Christina Miles and David Thornberg (Katie); his siblings, Harry Lee Thornberg and Patricia Stokes; his grandchildren, Jordan, Dylan, Halie, Chelsea, David, Jonathan, Josh and Maddie; and his great grandchildren, Everly, Blakely, Charlotte, Eleanor, Wade and Kylie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
