She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Fenner and Julia Short Faulkner; her husband Gordon "Gordy" Matthews; her siblings, Edwin, Fenner Faulkner and Nancy Sherman; and her children-in-law, Paulette, LouAnn Matthews and Gary Priest.
She is survived by: her children, Ralin Matthews of Pinebluff, Lonnie Matthews of Pinebluff, Jane Priest of Carthage and Sherrill Matthews of Carthage. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
