She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Thompson and Josephine Thompson; and her daughter Kathie Gilpin. She is survived by: her children, Philip Goggans and Kristie Barksdale. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Health Hospice Home in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
