We announce the death of MaryAnn McGowan of Pinehurst, North Carolina, who passed away on August 10, 2026, at the age of 86. MaryAnn will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Rankin and Leona Belle Miller Moore; her husband Walter Lamont McGowan; and her brother John Moore. She is survived by: her children, Bradley McGowan (Melissa), Mark McGowan (Jennifer Zar) and Meredith McGowan; and her grandchildren, Taylor McGowan, Peter Zengo, Brian Zengo and Molly Zengo.
