With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas Phillips Wood Jr. of Pinehurst, North Carolina, born in Rockingham, North Carolina, who passed away on March 11, 2023 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas Phillips Wood and Elizabeth Coble Teague; his wife Linda Beukema Wood; his brother Lawrence McNeil Wood; and his stepfather Temple Sloan (Kenan Williams).

He is survived by : his children, Phillip Wood (Kristy) of Raleigh, Kate Chapman of Raleigh and Marianne Bowman (Andrew) of Raleigh; his grandchildren, Libby Wood, Kacky Chapman, Wood Chapman, Mac Chapman, Baker Bowman and CeCe Bowman; his brothers, David Wood (Susan) of Pinehurst, Temple Sloan, Jr. (Carolyn) of Raleigh and C. Hamilton Sloan (Ann) of Morehead City; and his nieces and nephews, Carson Henline (Chuck), Temple Sloan III (Joy), Mark Sloan (Sandi), Hamilton Sloan (Hannah) and Avery Knight (David).
