She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Henson and Dora Williams Henson; her husband Arthur Preston; and her daughter Linda Carol Laney. She is survived by: her grandson Mitchell Shearer (Karen); and her great grandchildren, Justin, Jennie, Linda and Preston.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mt Carmel Church Cemetery (3925 Mt Carmel Rd, Carthage, NC 28327).
