He is survived by: his children, Elbert Ray Dickens of Tarboro, NC, Carolyn Faye Dickens Goss of Upper Marlboro, MD and Sandra Ann Dickens Bunns of Bowie, MD; and his siblings, Marvin Dickens of Pinetops, NC, Barbara Smith of Rocky Mount, NC, JoAnn Knight of Pinetops, NC and Rosa Lee Smith of Pinetops, NC. He is also survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, with a host of other loving relatives and friends.
