Luther W. Summerlin Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 16, 2025, at the age of 86, Luther W. Summerlin of Pinetops, North Carolina passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Luther W. Summerlin to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his brother Albert Ray "Bubba" Summerlin; and his niece Terry S. Walston. He is survived by: his wife Benora Summerlin; his daughters, Pamela Summerlin Hathaway (Pender) of Pinetops and Kelly Summerlin Drake (Doug) of Pinetops; his grandchildren, Jamey Grasser (Bryan) of Ivor, VA, Nolan Drake (Skylar Tripp) and Aaron Drake (Kaitlyn Evans); his great grandchildren, Ashlynne Harrell, Sydney Harrell, Kyle Grasser, Aubrey Drake, Chase Drake, Mia McLawhorn and Marcy Drake; and his sister-in-law Jean Summerlin.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:45 PM at the Pinetops Baptist Church (710 W Hamlet St, Pinetops, NC 27864). A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In addition, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 1712 W. Howard Ave, Tarboro, NC 27886.
