She was predeceased by: her parents, Shirley Laughlin Whaley and Martha Abrams Whaley; her husband Cullen Cobb; and her siblings, Joseph Laughlin Whaley and Mavourneen Chacon.

She is survived by: her daughter Denise Rachow (Mike) of Wilson, NC; her stepchildren, Susan Overman (Ricky) of Aiken, SC and David Cobb (Sheryl) of Kealakekua, HI; her grandchildren, John D., Jessica Williford of Elm City, NC, Bennett, Ashley Williford of Rocky Mount, NC, Alisha, Joshua Singleton of Summerville, SC, Lindsey, Jason Griffin of Aiken, SC, Allison and Allen Cantrell of Swansboro, NC; and her siblings, Shirley Mae Matzinger of Vacaville, CA and Dennis (Lynn Whaley). She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren.
