She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Filmore Sawyer, Sr. and Myrtle Spencer Sawyer; her siblings, Harry Sawyer, Jr., Richard Sawyer, Agnes Gibbs (Bill) and Becky Davenport (Lemmie); and her brother-in-law Ted Brooks.
She is survived by: her husband William Ellis "Bud" Modlin; her children, Michael Modlin (Penny) of Pinetown, Jason Modlin (Ami) of Nashville, NC and Melissa M. Popperwill (Charlie) of Pinetown; her siblings, George Sawyer (Miriam) of Scranton, Shelby Williams (Willie) of Scranton, Sandra Brooks of South Mills and Myrtle Kirk (Tommy) of Belhaven; her sister-in-law Sandra Sawyer; and her grandchildren, Noah Modlin, Caroline Modlin, Ashleigh Modlin, Elisabeth Modlin, Jake Modlin, Gavin Popperwill and Gracyn Popperwill.
