He is survived by: his children, David Matthew Smith and Lamonica S. Carey; his granddaughters, Makayla, Makenzie and Maleah; and his siblings, Cornell Smith, Maurice Smith, Kay Smith, Alice Smith and Gwendolyn Smith McWilliams. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM at the Crown Memorial Park (9620 Rodney St, Pineville, NC 28134). A graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 from 1:15 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location.
