He is survived by: his daughter Barbara Smith Ashley (Bob) of Wake Forest; and his grandchildren, Jessica Gibson (Jesse), Summer Denton (Matthew), Amber Futrell (Mickey), Nikki Montalvan (Oso), Sean Ashley (Lucy), Justin Ashley, Chad May (Shelbi) and Dylan Johnson. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
