She is survived by: her sons, Rickey Thigpen (Elsie), Keith Thigpen (Beverly) and Johnny Thigpen (Tracy); her grandchildren, Nicholas Herring (Hannah), Brooke Thigpen, Jessica Thigpen (Jonathan) and Austin Thigpen (Sara); and her great grandchildren, Jordan Thigpen, Jace Thigpen, Tristan Herring and Brailynn Herring.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pink Hill United Methodist Church, c/o Carolyn Whitfield, 313 N. Central Ave., Pink Hill, NC, 28572.
