She was predeceased by: her husband Lenwood Benson; her sisters, Betty Bowles and Bobbie Odom Laney; and her parents, Lewis and Elizabeth.
She is survived by: her daughters, Donna Ashlock and Angie Benson Rohrer (David); her siblings, Johnny Odom and Virginia Matthews; her grandchildren, Kala Coates (Taylor), Kandas Lee (Jacob), Phillip Ashlock (Haley) and Whitney Ashlock; her great grandchildren, Addison Coates, Lenni-Kate Coates and Grayson Ashlock; and her close friends, Evelyn Futrell and Bella. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
