With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Adelaide Palmer of Pinnacle, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Adelaide left this world on October 9, 2025 at the age of 96, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. As we bid adieu to Adelaide's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Adelaide has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bynum Henry Butner, Sr. and Sula Elizabeth Rierson Butner; and her husband Rev. Ronald Gaither Palmer, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Ronald Gaither Palmer, Jr. (Vickie), Patricia P. Beck, Carolisa Palmer and Nathan Palmer (Patti); her siblings, Helen Frazier (Chuck), Janie Hamby and Isaac Butner; and her sisters-in-law, Juanita Holder and Nancy Stevens. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church of King (536 S Main St, King, NC 27021). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
