It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bobby Ray Bennett of Pinnacle, North Carolina, who passed away on March 16, 2026, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Millard Bennett and Lummie Bennett; and his siblings, Juanita Bennett, Betty Lane and Joe Bennett.
He is survived by: his spouse Tootsie Cole Bennett; his children, Melinda Gentry (Jeff) and Brent Bennett; his granddaughters, Caroline Rowell (Logan) and Emily Gentry McAlpine (Neil); his great grandchildren, Alby and Ansen Rowell; and his brother Don Bennett. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his memory to the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Winston-Salem, 210 S. Cherry Street, Suite 206, Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
