He was predeceased by: his wife Lorene Mabe; his daughter Wanda Gibson; his grandson John Lee Mabe, Jr. (Little John); and his great grandchild Adrienne Mabe. He is survived by: his daughter Juanita; his son-in-law Joe Guarino; and his sons, Harold L. Mabe, Jr. (Jackie Mabe) and John Lee Mabe, Sr. (Dee Dee Mabe). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a special friend.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Moody Funeral Services (206 W Pine St, Mt Airy, NC 27030). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at the Crestview Memorial Park (6850 University Pkwy, Rural Hall, NC 27045).
