She was predeceased by: her parents, Reid Tilley and Ethyl Tilley; her husbands, Johnny Nelson Sr. and William Creson; and her siblings, Tommy Tilley, Cornelius Tilley and Phoebe Ann Pegram.
She is survived by: her children, John Nelson, Jr. (JB) and Sharon Nelson Lopez (Tony); her grandchildren, Thomas Reid Nelson, Luke Claibourne Nelson, Nicolette Antonia Lopez and Joseph Nicholas Lopez; her great grandchildren, Theodore John Nelson and Jonah Ray Nelson; and her caregivers, Cathy Williams, Donna Johnson, Kim Hill and Rondalyn Blair. She is also survived by friends and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Brims Grove Baptist Church Cemetery (2131 Volunteer Rd, Pinnacle, NC 27043). A reception will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Brim's Grove Baptist Church (2131 Volunteer Rd, Pinnacle, NC 27043).
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Brim's Grove Baptist Church or Mountain Valley Hospice.
