He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Hooper and Gertie Hooper; and his siblings, Agnes Hooper, Melba Hooper, Ina Hooper, Glana Stanley, Lloyd Hooper, Leonard Hooper, Kenneth Hooper and Eugene Hooper.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen; his children, Douglas Hooper (Heidi) and Laura Smith (Tim); his granddaughters, Hannah Francis (Leeroy), Julia Smith (Kenji) and Leah Arnold (Travis); his great grandchild Kingston Francis; and his siblings, Mildred Brown and Mac Hooper (Irene). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
