He was predeceased by: his son Douglas Brian Lynch (Isabel); and his parents, Norman Randolph and Ruth Brewington Calhoun Lynch. He is survived by: his wife Isabella Pratt Simpson; his son Norman E.; his daughters-in-law, Kerry L. Lynch and Marjorie A. Marshall; and his grandson Kyle A. Lynch.
