She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert A Bower and Margaret Garrison Bower; and her sister Julia Gibson. She is survived by : her husband Dr Burt Johnson of Pittsboro, NC; her sons, Alexander of Grand Rapids and Benjamin of Chapel Hill, NC; and her sister Emma Davies of San Diego. She is also survived by five grandchildren.
