She was predeceased by : her parents, Marvin Carl Foushee and Lessie Byrd Foushee; and her spouse Jesse Harold Boone. She is survived by : her daughters, Linda Ellis (Ronnie) of Pittsboro and Nancy Sunquist (Scott) of Beverly, Massachusetts.; and her sister Reda Partin (Fred). She is also survived by six grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for contributions to be made in Colleen's memory to: Gum Springs Baptist Church 227 Gum Springs Church Rd. Moncure, NC 27559.

Marie Dodds wrote a sympathy message

“Mrs. Boone was my landlady, she gave me and my mother the privilege of living in her house. I meet her once and she was very full of energy. Her daughter Linda and grand daughter and great granddaughter are very sweet people. As are her son in law Ronnie and the few other family members I met. I feel honored to have met her and to know her family as friends. Prayers and hugs, she is an angel now.”
