He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas Reaves and Della Reaves of Pittsboro, NC.; his siblings, Leola Reaves-Headen (Clifton), Willie Reaves (Carrie), Thomas Reaves (Delores), Emmaline Reaves-Harris (Ed), Johnnie People (Ada), Joseph Reaves (Lubbie) and Annie Reaves-Dukes (Frankie); and his goddaughter Dorinda Wynter-Mitchell.
He is survived by : his wife Earnestine H. Reaves; his siblings, Nathaniel Reaves (late Franco), Mozella Reaves-Brim, Walter Reaves (Mary), Lillie Reaves-Blue and Hattie Reaves-Waddell (Percy); and his godchildren, Lisa D. Johnson, Olivia Jones, Leonard Omar King, Celesta Cannady, Roddrikk Alston, Jordan Whittley, Tyshaun Anthony Stuart Wynter, Drusilla Emmerson, Shirley Hart and Sandra Horton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
