He was predeceased by: his mother Elsie Louise Beatty (Mullen); his wife Lorraine Ruth Beatty; his father Harold Beatty; his siblings, Katherine Beatty, John Beatty, Elizabeth Shorten (Charles) and Philip Beatty (Ruth); his siblings-in-law, Lawrence Cantrall (Delores), Floyd Pierce and Connie Cantrall; his daughter-in-law Joni Beatty; and his nephews, John Beatty, Paul Beatty and Daniel Cantrall.
He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Roth (Thomas), James A. Beatty (Julia) and David Beatty (Nancy); his grandchildren, James M. Beatty, Rebecca Beatty, Andrea Beatty, John Beatty, Natalie Feild (David), Colin Roth (Sarah), Evan Beatty and Alexander Reitz (Stephanie Harrington); his great grandchildren, Joni Cornelius, Melvina Reitz and Paul Reitz; and his siblings-in-law, Helen Pierce and David Cantrall (Peggy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Pittsboro Bible Assembly (1825 East St, Pittsboro, NC 27312).
