She was predeceased by: her parents, Colon Alfred and Irene Harris Nettles; her son Burnice Williams Jr.; her siblings, Irene, Clinton, Vernell and Herman Nettles; her friend Robert Pennix; and her siblings-in-law, Narva "Novella" Nettles, Cozetta Nettles, Mozella Worley, Carolyn Cotten, Ida Cotten, Edward Baldwin, Gerald Williams, Willard Williams and Harry Williams.
She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Headen and Alfred Williams; her grandsons, Durell Headen (Lanikitta), Darrick Headen (Samantha), Tyler Williams, Jordan Williams and Jahvel Glover; her great grandchildren, Kier, Kamden, Jah'rylah, King Rico Williams, Da'Mari, Da'Marcus, Ayden Headen, Serenittee, Sage, Sariyah, Sianna, Ariana Headen, Samiyah Cotton and Braylin Rives; her brother William Nettles of Washington, DC; and her goddaughter Arien Pattrice Whitted. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, August 5th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Knotts Funeral Home (50 N Masonic St, Pittsboro, NC 27312). A wake was held on Wednesday, August 5th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 6th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Mt. View AME Zion Church (3538 Mt View Church Rd, Moncure, NC 27559).
