Robert Gabor Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Gabor of Pittsboro, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 6, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Robert may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Winifred Gabor and Emery Gabor; and his wife Sandra Gabor. He is survived by: his friend Al Klavora; his children, Robert Gabor Jr. and Nicole Nichols (Christopher Vespermann); and his sisters, Elinore Melle and Carolyn Gabor. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Ebenezer United Methodist Church (724 Beaver Creek Rd, Apex, NC 27502).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina and Blood Cancer United (formerly known as the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society).
