He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Clapp O'Daniel; his children, Dawn Sanders of Chapel Hill, NC and Todd O'Daniel (Cynthia) of Pittsboro, NC; and his grandchildren, Colton Sanders of Chapel Hill, Connor Sanders of Chapel Hill, Ryan O'Daniel (Amanda Davis) of Matthews, NC and Kelsey O'Daniel of Pittsboro, NC..
