He was predeceased by : his parents, William Henry Poindexter, Jr. and Hilda Wilson Brandon Poindexter of East Bend, NC.; and his brother Joe Poindexter. He is survived by : his wife Sims; his daughter Julia McLeod (Wayne); and his grandchildren, Jan Poindexter-Cameron (Kendell), William McLeod, Laura Mabe (Matthew) and Amanda Cameron.
