He is survived by: his wife Deborah Austin; his son Steve Austin; his grandchildren, Alex Austin, Bradley Tackett and Hailey Austin; his great grandchildren, Roman Bowman, Alston Tackett and Adeline Tackett; and his brother Donald Austin.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Forbis & Dick Funeral Home (4601 Pleasant Garden Rd, Pleasant Garden, NC 27313).
