She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, James Marvin and Lala Verna Blakley; her spouse Glen Louis Key; her children, Brenda Brooks (Ronnie), Linda Rorer (Lynn), Glenda Jo Wilson, Mary Margaret "Margie" Jones, Janice Burkett and James Glen "Jimmy" Key; and her siblings, Helen Kelly, Fred, Herman, Jack Blakley, Faye Adams and Lucille Campbell. She was also cherished by Her nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made in Marie's name to Emmanuel Wesleyan Church, 3233 Yanceyville St., Greensboro, NC 27405.
