Robert Lee Shores Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Lee Shores (Pleasant Garden, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 25, 2026 at the age of 72. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert Lee Shores to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Donna Lou Tennefos and Robert Lee Shores; and his brother Kevin Karl Shores. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Shores; his sons, Gabriel Tate (Kaylin), Ariel David (Hannah) and Joel Nathaniel Shores; his grandson Oliver Tate Shores; and his sister Mae Jennifer Shores.
The only good part about retiring at that time was that it happened right before the Covid-19 pandemic, so he was spared the online teaching experience.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alamance Presbyterian Church, Hospice of the Piedmont, or any ALS event anywhere, with the hope of someday finding a cure.
