She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Henry Apple and Faye Estelle Bennett Apple; and her siblings, Sadie Coble, Sue Beck, Shirley Hester and Wayne Apple.
She is survived by: her husband Glenn Smith; her son Jeff Smith (Toni); her grandchildren, Camille Smith (Matt Morgan) and Alex Smith; and her siblings, Harvey "Sonny" Apple (Pat) and Sharon McIntyre (Wayne). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel (6000 W Gate City Blvd, Greensboro, NC 27407). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at the Guilford Memorial Park (6000 W Gate City Blvd, Greensboro, NC 27407).
