He was predeceased by: his parents, Pearl Sikes and Lessie Sikes; his wife Rebecca Sikes; his brother Reese Sikes (Nell); and his sister-in-law Betsy Sikes.

He is survived by: his sons, Ronnie Sikes (Kimberly), Anthony "Neal" Sikes (Nancy) and Danny Sikes (Laura); and his brother David Sikes. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
